TechMatte USB 3.0 External Hard Drive Enclosure Review!

TechMatte USB 3.0 External Hard Drive Enclosure Review!

Ever since I upgraded to a new website I find that this is the perfect companion for my new setup thanks to this very product that’s available via Amazon US for about $13 plus shipping. This is an insanely great price and special thanks to TechMatte for sending this out to review!

Ever since I upgraded to a new laptop I actually wanted to upgrade the Hard Drive to a Standard Disk Drive (SDD) but keep the HDD for space. Without this enclosure I wouldn’t be able to perform this dream. But before I go on I want to review what you receive inside the package which includes: the USB 3.0 External Hard Drive Enclosure, a mandatory USB 3.0 cable (USB 2.0 compatible, Instruction Manual, and a Welcome Slip. There’s not much but I didn’t expect too much especially for this very price!

Part 2

The quality of the enclosure is no high-quality dream product but this it’s reasonable thanks to the pricing and effort that TechMatte places behind all of their products. On the front, there’s nothing but their logo in the top-left hand corner (non-intrusive: excellent), a LED light that blinks whenever it’s connected to your computer and have a HDD insider, with that one strip I hate the most. It’s small but still don’t like that it’s presented on the product which is the glossy strip. It’s a fingerprint magic hotel for your fingerprints and makes the enclosure look so unpleasing to show off to your Geeky fans.

On the flip side, you have nothing interesting on the back besides a little slit that’s toward the bottom. It indicates whether the product is right-side up or upside down. It’s also the door opening in which you place your HDD into when ready to mount it to your computer. Personally, I found the door and sliding mechanism a little stiff but it became easier to slide the more I use it.

Part 3

The opposite side of the door is where you plug in your mandatory cord from the enclosure to your computer. The blue LED light will become active to indicate that it’s ready to be used/already being used. No problems accessing, writing, reading, copying, or deleting whenever I mounted a HDD inside the enclosure. I received perfect results each and every time.

In the end, I highly recommend checking this product out if you’re the one person that’s looking for a way to expand your desk setup (storage wise) or want to have a separate HDD when traveling. I will be using the enclosure greatly as I perform more tests of HDDs that I receive. Also, the enclosure is covered by TechMatte with a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee and 12 Month Replacement Warranty. The only cons I could ever think of includes that TechMatte should consider adding color options rather than only black.
