Fliptroniks Panther Leather Wallet Case for iPhone 5/5S Review

Fliptroniks Panther Leather Wallet Case for iPhone 5/5S Review

The iPhone 5 and 5S is a beautiful yet fragile device similar to a new born that has been exposed to the world for a couple of weeks. You should protect it without having to spend a bunch of money on a case that’s selling for half of what you spent on your device. I’m happy to welcome a new company known as Fliptroniks that’s selling via Amazon US for a great price for about $40 ($39.99) plus free shipping and special thanks to Fliptroniks for sending this out to review.

They’re new in the consumer industry and that’s exactly where I want to start. When I received the case I didn’t receive any professional packaging, such as a box or any accessories such as a screen protector and so on. This is a bit of a let down since that’s the “norm” for phone accessories nowadays. This will deduct the chance of a consumer purchasing another product from them for a price that’s around $40. I’m hoping that Fliptroniks evaluate this con and improve in their products for the near future.

Part 1

Fliptroniks isn’t all that bad for a company that’s receiving very high ratings for their products. Making our way to the case you will notice that there’s fine and precise stitching, embedded logo in the bottom right hand corner, and a magnetic clip to keep the case from opening when it’s simply laying on the table. After a week of wear-and-tear I don’t see any scars or damage to the case so far.

Matter of fact, you can watch my Drop Test for a better understanding of what this case can survive. Otherwise, flipping to the back will reveal the fairly deep camera, secondary-microphone, and LED flash cut out. Ah, yes, I didn’t notice any flashbacks with the case on when capturing photos and videos with the LED flash on. The back is professional with the lining stitching around the edges.

Part 2

This is indeed a premium flip cover meaning that there’s a binding on the left side and an opening on the right side which is closed off so you won’t be able to access your SIM card with the case on. It’s no big deal since the average consumer, may of you, won’t be switching from one SIM card to another in days time.

I’m usually against large openings on the top and bottom of a case due to it lacking protection for the device if dropped but Fliptroniks has taken advantage of the flip cover so that it has a large top cut out for you to access your power/lock button and a large cut out on the bottom for you to access your 3.5mm headphone jack, microphone, Lighting port, and speaker. Matter of fact, I’m willing to drop my device to give it the ultimate test of ‘Trust.’

Part 4

Finally, we are into the case where you will find two credit card slits on the left also a bit large pocket for yet another credit card or a small amount of cash. I recommend not over stuffing it since it will be a hard time removing it due to the hard case shell on the right side where your phone lives. There’s cut outs on the top and bottom as well as on the left side for your volume controls and Silence switch.

In the end, Fliptroniks has done an incredible job with their case and I’m very impressed with it. I will be reviewing more of their products in the near future but until next time, have a great day!
